Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Woody May (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sergei Garkov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). May comes to the cage accompanied by Watch you Bleed by FFDP. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Woody May! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 13 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Sergei Garkov! The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Patrick Alders and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! May has Garkov up against the cage in a clinch.
May gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Garkov.
Garkov can't break the clinch.
Garkov looking for a takedown. Garkov is trying to break the clinch but May is controlling him. May is defending well against a takedown attempt. Woody May has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sergei Garkov. The referee calls for May to work.
May pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. May misses with a looping left. May lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
It looks like Sergei Garkov has been cut. May looks for a takedown but Garkov sprawls well. May moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Garkov dives in for a single leg takedown but May sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. May lands with a short head shot on the inside. May digs a right hand underneath Garkov's ribcage. Garkov let out a lung full of air as it connected. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! May lands an uppercut. May lands an elbow just above Garkov 's eye. May gets underhooks to prevent Garkov's takedown attempt.
May manages to break the clinch.
Woody May seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. May ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Garkov moves away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. May stuffs the takedown. Garkov throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around May's waist but May gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Garkov off to one side. Garkov fakes high and swings low for a body shot but May manages to avoid it. May misses with a body shot.
Garkov circles away from the clinch attempt.
May wants to clinch up but Garkov keeps it at a distance. Garkov has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Garkov moves out of range of the strikes. Garkov shoots in but no luck this time. May closes the distance and clinches. Garkov is trying to drag May to the mat but May just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Garkov tries to break the clinch but May is controlling the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. May tries to land knees in the clinch but Garkov avoids the damage to the body. Garkov tries to pull guard but May forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Garkov wants a takedown.
May slows down the pace here.
May is defending well against a takedown attempt. May is pressed up against the cage. Garkov has hold of a leg and is looking to drag May down to the mat. May avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. A slapping leg kick lands for May.
May jabbing away but nothing is landing. May misses with a straight left. May lands a big shot that drops Garkov! Can he finish him?
Garkov is rocked!
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. May stands up and waves to Garkov to follow him. Garkov is still on wobbly legs! Can May finish him? May stuffs the takedown attempt from Garkov. Garkov gets slowly back to his feet. Garkov looks winded! May cracks Garkov with a brutal left hook that knocks him out cold! This one is over in a flash! Game over!
