Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tracy Powell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Laxus Thunder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thunder has chosen Cookie Dance as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tracy Powell! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Laxus Thunder! The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Russell Pearce and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice takedown defense from Thunder. No joy for Powell on that attempt. Thunder moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Thunder moves into the clinch. Powell doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Powell throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Powell is leaning against Thunder and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. Thunder has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Thunder avoiding damage as Powell throws knees to the body.
Thunder is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Powell can't find room to land a body shot as Thunder controls the action.
Powell has a couple of punches blocked by Thunder.
Powell tries to work over Thunder's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Thunder working hard to break the clinch. A frustrated look appears on Thunder's face as he tries to break the clinch. Powell lands with a short head shot on the inside. Powell misses with a hook to the ribs.
Powell throws an elbow that misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Thunder has picked Powell up - he's going for a ride! Thunder dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Thunder tries to stand but can't do so whilst Powell controls his leg. Powell is controlling Thunder's position as best he can from this difficult position. Powell wants to get back to his feet.
Powell wants to control but Thunder is keeping busy and won't allow it. Thunder looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Powell trying to control from the bottom.
Tracy Powell has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Powell gets caught napping as Thunder dives in and scores a takedown. Powell manages to retain guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Thunder sitting in guard, not really doing much. Powell wants to stand but Thunder is controlling the position. Thunder tries to stand but Powell is controlling from the bottom. Thunder postures up.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Thunder fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Thunder gets the takedown into side control. Thunder looks winded! Powell wants to get back to his feet but Thunder drags him back down. Thunder postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Thunder decides to stand back up. Thunder steps back and let's Powell get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Powell shoots in but no luck this time. Nice takedown defense from Thunder. No joy for Powell on that attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tracy Powell. That's going to take a lot out of him. Thunder has closed the distance and engaged Powell in a clinch.

Thunder is trying to break the clinch but Powell has him pressed against the cage. Thunder looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Powell avoiding damage.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Powell digs a right hand into Thunder's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Thunder's gas tank. Powell effectively controlling the action here. Thunder has had enough of the clinch but Powell keeps him there for the moment. Powell has Thunder pushed against the cage. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Tracy Powell. Thunder throws a series of punches but Powell avoids them all with ease. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Laxus Thunder dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Thunder looks to score with a jab to the body but Powell is just out of range. Thunder getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Thunder throws a right and a left that both miss. Thunder closes the distance and clinches. Thunder wants to break free but Powell has control.
Come on Powell - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Powell tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Thunder avoids it. Thunder is trying to break the clinch but Powell has him pressed against the cage. Thunder turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Thunder working away. Powell is not content to let Thunder control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Powell is looking for a sweep. Thunder is breathing heavily. Powell is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Thunder asserts his dominance and retains side control. Powell bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet! Thunder throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Laxus Thunder seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Thunder leaves Powell with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Thunder closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Powell tries a body shot but Thunder blocks it.

The referee is keeping an eye on Powell - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Thunder avoids a wild elbow strike from Powell. Powell fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

He has Thunder in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body. Powell tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Thunder avoids it. Thunder breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Powell has Thunder pressed against the cage.
Powell tries to land knees in the clinch but Thunder avoids the damage to the body. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Laxus Thunder will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's time! Powell's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Powell goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Thunder drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Powell is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Powell looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Thunder trying to control but Powell is working from the bottom. Thunder stopping the sweep attempt from Powell. Thunder would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Laxus Thunder was stalling too much, according to the referee. Thunder clinches with his opponent.
Thunder turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! A bit of a lull in the action here. Thunder working away. Powell is trying to get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Thunder working away. Powell is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Thunder's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Powell manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Thunder keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Thunder has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Powell regains guard immediately. Powell looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Powell is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. Powell controlling the action here for a moment.
Thunder is trying to push Powell away but Powell has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Powell has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Thunder is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position. Come on Powell - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Thunder decides to pull guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Powell stands up from guard. Let's bang! Tracy Powell has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Laxus Thunder is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Thunder keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
