Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kevin Boucher!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Iheb II!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Trevor Gratis and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
II connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
II misses with a takedown attempt

and Boucher counters with a nice double leg into guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Boucher controls from within his opponent's guard.
Boucher seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down II for as long as he can get away with.
Boucher stands and throws II's legs to the side, diving into side control.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
II is looking for a sweep.
Boucher is staying tight to II's torso, preventing him from escaping.

Boucher wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by II, who protects the arm well.
The referee asks Boucher politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Boucher prefers to stall for the moment though.

Boucher tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
II is trying to control Boucher's posture but Boucher avoids it.

Boucher thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
The referee asks Boucher politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Boucher prefers to stall for the moment though.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
II is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Boucher asserts his dominance and retains side control.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Kevin Boucher.
II lands with a hook. Boucher tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
II looks to clinch

and Boucher counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for II!
II tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Boucher wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Boucher moves into full mount!
Boucher takes his opponent's back. Perhaps a chance to lock up a rear naked choke here.
Boucher is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Boucher has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for II! Can he survive? No! He's out! Boucher gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
