Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Agustin Khalahiri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kahwaah Jeeri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Agustin Khalahiri!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kahwaah Jeeri!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Yukihiro Shimada and Tatsuya Matsuyama.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jeeri closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Khalahiri parries the strikes from Jeeri easily there. Jeeri is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Khalahiri to escape.
A lull in the action here.
Khalahiri is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Khalahiri wants to get back to his feet but Jeeri drags him back down.
Jeeri throws an elbow but Khalahiri slips to the side and avoids it well.
Khalahiri is trying to control Jeeri's posture but Jeeri avoids it.
Jeeri tries to score with some ground and pound. Khalahiri controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Jeeri is looking to take a break and control but Khalahiri is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Khalahiri wants to control but Jeeri postures up.
Jeeri throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Khalahiri tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Khalahiri is trying to escape the position but Jeeri is controlling the position.
Khalahiri struggling a bit here.

Jeeri is trying to get an arm triangle but Khalahiri is defending well.

Jeeri tries for a kimura but Khalahiri is defending well.

Jeeri tries to score with some ground and pound. Khalahiri controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jeeri wants to control but Khalahiri is keeping him busy.
Jeeri tries to advance to mount but can't.
Khalahiri is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Khalahiri regains half guard there - taking advantage of Jeeri's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.

Khalahiri trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!
Jeeri looking to ground and pound but Khalahiri is blocking nicely.
Khalahiri is working to get back to half guard.
Jeeri wants to control the pace but Khalahiri is squirming around nicely.

Poor strikes thrown by Jeeri there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Jeeri unloads with some shots from mount but Khalahiri bucks and avoids them well.
Khalahiri stops Jeeri from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better.

Kahwaah Jeeri dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Jeeri shoots in and drives through. Khalahiri sprawls well.

Jeeri moves into the clinch successfully.
Khalahiri prevents the takedown attempt.
Jeeri drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Khalahiri gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Agustin Khalahiri has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kahwaah Jeeri.
Jeeri stops a takedown attempt from Khalahiri.
Jeeri is working for takedown but Khalahiri is calmly controlling the position for now.

Jeeri wants the takedown. Khalahiri is fighting it off but Jeeri persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Khalahiri's guard against the cage.
Jeeri slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Jeeri tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Jeeri has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Jeeri thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Khalahiri sneaks back into half guard.
Khalahiri is staying active underneath Jeeri, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Khalahiri is looking to control Jeeri's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Khalahiri avoid being mounted?
Jeeri thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Jeeri wants to control but Khalahiri is keeping him busy.

Khalahiri pushes Jeeri off looking to stand but Jeeri dives back in and keeps control.
Jeeri not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Jeeri tries to pass to full mount but Khalahiri defends it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Khalahiri has worked his way to half guard, taking advantage of Jeeri's lack of action.
Khalahiri is trying to stand.

Jeeri is thwarting Khalahiri's attempts to control the position.

Jeeri is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Khalahiri is just riding it out for now. Jeeri eventually gives up the hold.
Jeeri is taking a breather. Khalahiri says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
We've been informed that Jeeri has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

Kahwaah Jeeri showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Jeeri shoots for a takedown but Khalahiri saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Jeeri goes for a double leg but Khalahiri avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Khalahiri continues to drive forward.
Jeeri has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Khalahiri after a bit of a struggle.
Agustin Khalahiri has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kahwaah Jeeri.
Khalahiri tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Jeeri just stands there and leans against the cage.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Jeeri as Khalahiri tries to tie him up.

Jeeri gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Jeeri trying to control but Khalahiri is working from the bottom.
Khalahiri manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Khalahiri wants to control the pace but Jeeri is squirming around nicely.

Khalahiri prevents Jeeri from getting the reversal.
You get the feeling that Jeeri really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Khalahiri throws some wild stikes that Jeeri manages to avoid easily.
Jeeri looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!

Jeeri breaks Khalahiri's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Jeeri slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Khalahiri manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Khalahiri is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Jeeri is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Jeeri has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Jeeri thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.

Jeeri is working for a submission of some sort.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Jeeri's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Agustin Khalahiri has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Kahwaah Jeeri is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
