Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Tony McCowan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Timmy Turner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tony McCowan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Timmy Turner!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Alan Glass and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Turner has taken the fight to the clinch.
Turner goes for a takedown attempt but McCowan pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Turner closes the distance and pushes McCowan back into the cage.
Turner is looking to take this one to the mat.

Turner gets a trip takedown into half guard.
McCowan wants to control but Turner is keeping busy.
Turner thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Turner throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Turner is trying to control. McCowan wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Turner thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed McCowan's head.
Turner not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
McCowan wants to improve his position but Turner is controlling well.
McCowan makes his way to full guard. A much better position for McCowan.
Turner has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

That's one minute gone in the round.
McCowan is trying to control the position but Turner postures up.
Turner stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. McCowan swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Turner wants to control from the top but McCowan keeps moving.
Turner working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Turner throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Turner is looking to advance position but McCowan has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
Turner tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Turner is still trying to improve position.
Turner is squirming around, avoiding McCowan's attempts to control the action.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Turner prevents McCowan from taking his back.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
McCowan is working hard here to advance position.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Turner tries to lock up and control but McCowan gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
McCowan trying to control but he's not successful this time.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Turner can do anything to dispel that myth.
Turner tries to get back to half guard but can't.

McCowan is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Turner is surviving well by controlling McCowan's body position as best he can.
Turner is squirming around, avoiding McCowan's attempts to control the action.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
You get the feeling that Turner really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Turner slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Turner gets full guard.
McCowan wants to control from the top but Turner keeps moving.
McCowan won't allow Turner to get back to his feet.
McCowan won't allow Turner to sweep him here.
McCowan stops Turner from standing up.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
McCowan would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
McCowan trying to control but Turner is working from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Timmy Turner dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Turner throws a hook to the side of McCowan's head but McCowan sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
McCowan lands with a thumping leg kick.
McCowan tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Turner paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Turner closes the distance and clinches.
McCowan is defending well against a takedown attempt.
McCowan missing with knees to the body.
Turner blocks a body shot from McCowan.
Turner keeps control of McCowan as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
McCowan is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Turner is defending well for now.
Turner lands a right hand.
A short right from Turner on the inside.
Turner tries for a takedown. No joy.
Turner lands a body punch.
McCowan wants to break free but Turner has control.
Turner dodges an elbow strike from McCowan.
Turner on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

McCowan manages to break the clinch.

Turner fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with McCowan, pushing him back against the cage.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Turner lands with a short shot to the head.
Turner is trying to drag McCowan to the mat but McCowan just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Tony McCowan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Timmy Turner.
McCowan tries to work over Turner's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
McCowan doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Turner prevents McCowan from breaking the clinch.
McCowan lands an elbow just above Turner 's eye.

McCowan manages to break the clinch.

Turner moves into the clinch.
McCowan prevents the takedown attempt.
McCowan tries a body shot but Turner blocks it.
McCowan unloads a knee to the mid-section.
Turner prevents a body shot from McCowan.

Turner has hold of one of McCowan's legs. McCowan is fighting the takedown attempt but Turner gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Turner accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Turner won't allow McCowan to sweep him here.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now McCowan is on top in guard.
Turner throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Turner lands some strikes from the bottom.
Turner is looking to sweep but instead, McCowan has passed into half guard.
Turner works his way to full guard. Good work.
Turner looking for a sweep. Not yet Turner, not yet.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
McCowan has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Turner is proving hard to escape from.
Turner looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
McCowan looking to pass the guard.
Turner throwing strikes off his back to little effect.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Turner not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Turner clinches up against the cage.
Turner looking for a takedown.
Turner misses with a punch on the inside.
Turner takes an elbow to the forehead.
McCowan trying to land knees to the body.
Turner prevents McCowan from breaking the clinch.

McCowan breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Turner has managed to clinch.
McCowan prevents a takedown attempt there.
Turner looking for a takedown.
Turner is breathing heavily.

Turner has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but McCowan regains guard immediately.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Turner throws a strike but McCowan rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
McCowan has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
McCowan is standing up over Turner. Turner looks to escape but McCowan dives into side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Timmy Turner showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!



Turner clinches up against the cage.

McCowan's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Turner has closed the distance and engaged McCowan in a clinch.
Turner wants a takedown.

McCowan breaks the clinch.
McCowan dodges the punch combination from Turner.

McCowan rushes Turner and presses him up against the cage.
Turner pressing his opponent against the cage.
McCowan lands a damaging elbow.
McCowan tries to throw a body punch but Turner avoids it by throwing McCowan back against the cage.
Turner is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
McCowan prevents the takedown attempt.
Tony McCowan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Timmy Turner.
McCowan tries to land knees in the clinch but Turner avoids the damage to the body.
Turner is looking for a takedown up against the cage. McCowan gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Turner takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Turner goes for a takedown attempt but McCowan pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Timmy Turner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Turner blocks a body shot from McCowan.
McCowan comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
McCowan wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Turner has him pressed against the cage.
McCowan lands an elbow that stopped Turner in his tracks for a moment.

Turner has clasped his hands together around McCowan's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
You can see the frustration on McCowan's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
McCowan has one of Turner's arms on lockdown, trying to prevent him from doing any damage.
McCowan is not content to let Turner control the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Turner throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
McCowan tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Turner wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Turner is chipping away with strikes.
Turner postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

McCowan is trying to escape the position but Turner is controlling the position.

McCowan is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Turner scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
McCowan is looking to improve his position.
McCowan desperately trying to maintain half guard.
McCowan keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Turner is looking to advance position but McCowan won't allow it.
Turner is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Turner throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Turner with the ground and pound but McCowan uses the opportunity to regain guard.
Tony McCowan has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
McCowan utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Turner is stalling in the full guard.
McCowan is trying to keep Turner in close.
Timmy Turner has got the better of the ground game so far.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
McCowan is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Timmy Turner comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Turner winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
