Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Makoy Gilas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mitch Buchannon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gilas comes to the cage accompanied by Remember The Name - Fort Minor. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice uppercut there from Gilas.
Buchannon rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Gilas moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Gilas lands with an uppercut that bounces Buchannon off the cage and back into range.
Gilas slips a straight right by Buchannon.
Buchannon misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Gilas.
Buchannon cracks Gilas with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Buchannon avoids the body shot from Gilas.
Gilas takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Buchannon clinches with his opponent.
Buchannon blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Gilas is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Gilas tries for a takedown but Buchannon manages to get underhooks.
Gilas misses with a short punch on the inside.
Gilas has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Buchannon avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Buchannon misses with the head strike.
Gilas can't break the clinch.
Gilas tries to land knees in the clinch but Buchannon avoids the damage to the body.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Gilas throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Buchannon fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Nice body punch from Buchannon - that landed with a thud.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Gilas goes for a takedown attempt but Buchannon pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Makoy Gilas. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Buchannon misses with a straight right.
Buchannon fails in his attempt to clinch.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Gilas.

Gilas is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Buchannon has escaped the position, nice work there.

Gilas has hold of Buchannon's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Buchannon tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Gilas cranks the arm and Buchannon screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Buchannon, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
