Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Brij Khali (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlos Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Brij Khali! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Carlos Carter! The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Daniel Bishop and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carter closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Khali to the mat! Khali manages to get full guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Carter accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Khali looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Carter pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Khali is keeping the position for now. Carter is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Khali controls Carter momentarily but Carter frees himself. Carter trying to control but Khali is working from the bottom. Carter throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Khali working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Carter.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Carter has a takedown stuffed. Brij Khali is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Carter uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Khali. Khali fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Carter manages to avoid it. Carter keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Khali. Carter shoots in looking for a takedown. Khali tries to sprawl out of it but Carter keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Khali manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Carter lands with a kick to the ribs.
Khali misses with a hook. Carter ducked under it nicely. Khali walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Carter slips a straight right by Khali. Khali lands with a straight right. Carter didn't see that one coming. Khali jabbing away but nothing is landing. Khali bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Carter's head backwards. Carter throws a head kick that misses. Carter has taken the fight to the clinch.

Khali throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Khali lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Khali is breathing heavily. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Jab, jab by Khali - just one landing.
Carter is rocked! Brij Khali seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Carter shoots for a double leg takedown but Khali sprawls well. He's pushed Carter's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Brij Khali has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Carlos Carter. Khali misses with a body shot.
Carter lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Carter closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Khali is trying to get back to half guard. Carter decides to stand back up. Carter steps back and let's Khali get back to his feet. Khali thuds a left hand into Carter's body. Carter shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Khali as he jumps to the side. A swing and a miss from Khali. Carter fails with a takedown attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Carter looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Carter is looking to stand up but he'll have to free his leg first. Instead, Khali manages to get to full guard. Carter passes Khali's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Khali blocking the ground and pound attempt from Carter. Khali gets full guard. Khali keeping moving, preventing Carter from controlling successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Khali preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Khali keeping full guard, as Carter tries to pass. Carter stands and steps away. Khali gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Carter throws a sloppy head kick and Khali moves out of range easily. Excellent takedown into side control there by Carter. Carter landing a few strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Carlos Carter will probably get the nod. That's time! Khali's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Carter lands with a right hand. Carter closes the distance and clinches up with Khali, looking for a takedown. Carter pushes Khali against the cage but Khali circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. A big left from Khali misses. Khali throws a shot from downtown. Carter moves away and avoids it. Khali fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Carter manages to avoid it. Brij Khali is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Carter shoots in and drives through. Khali sprawls well. No joy there for Khali, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Carter closes the distance and clinches up with Khali, looking for a takedown. Carter pushes Khali against the cage but Khali circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Brij Khali has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Carlos Carter. Khali throws a lazy right hand but Carter sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Khali throws the left hand but Carter avoids the punch easily. Khali misses with a wild combination.
Carter bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Khali's head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Khali swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Carter fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Carter fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Carter wants to clinch up but Khali keeps it at a distance. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carter shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Khali as he jumps to the side. A slapping body kick lands there for Carter. Khali with a nice cross. Khali throws a right and a left that Carter avoids nicely. Khali looks to land a combination but Carter avoids it well. A telegraphed right hand from Khali misses the target. Carter slips under a jab from Khali. Khali misses with a few strikes there.
Khali throws a series of punches but Carter avoids them all with ease. Carter moves into the clinch. Khali is trying to break the clinch but Carter has him pressed against the cage. Khali tries to break the clinch but Carter is controlling the position. Khali is looking to break free of the clinch but Carter has double underhooks. Carter tries for a takedown but Khali manages to get underhooks.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Khali. Carter has Khali pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Khali manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Khali tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Khali wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Carter has him pressed against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Carter manages to pull guard.

Carter is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Khali has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Carter is proving hard to escape from. Carter has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Carter wants to sweep but no luck. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

"Ole!" shouts Khali as he jumps to the side. Carter scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Carter scores with a couple of good hammerfists. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Carter throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Carter not landing any meaningful shots this time. Carter is keen to just control but Khali is a slippery customer. Carter slips a nice elbow through Khali's hands, connecting with Khali's forehead.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Carter showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Khali.
Carter misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Carter closes the distance and clinches up with Khali, looking for a takedown. Carter pushes Khali against the cage but Khali circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. A decent looking body kick lands there for Carter. Carter throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Khali's waist but Khali gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Carter off to one side. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Carlos Carter will probably get the nod - 10:9. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Khali throws a shot from downtown. Carter moves away and avoids it. Horrible takedown by Carter or perhaps it was just good defense by Khali which made him look bad. Khali misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Carter.

Carter moves away from the strike by Khali. Khali is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Carter. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Khali crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Carter - the referee stops the clock and Khali gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Carter. Khali manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Nice cross by Khali. Carter darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Carter drops an elbow to the side of Khali's head. Brij Khali has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Carter is trying to control the action in half guard but Khali is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Carter tries to pass to full mount but Khali defends it. Khali is looking to control Carter's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Khali avoid being mounted? Khali is refusing to be controlled, as Carter sits in half guard. Carter thows a huge punch but Khali dodges it nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Carter sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Khali defending well though. Carter trying to control the action but Khali is working from the bottom.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Carter shoots in for a takedown but Khali shows good takedown defense. Carter keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Khali looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Khali scores with a three punch combo!
Carter slips a straight right by Khali. Khali is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Carter keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
No luck for Carter with that takedown attempt. Carter looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Khali is fending him off so far but Carter persists. Nope, Khali circles away and we're back to standing. Khali lands with a shot to the body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Khali rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Carter moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Khali throws a nice looking combination but Carter bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Carter drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Carter tries to score with some ground and pound. Khali controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Khali manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Carter controlling the action here. Carter is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Khali reverses the position - he's now on top in Carter's guard. Carlos Carter is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Carter is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Brij Khali. I think Carter has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
