Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Derek Juarez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Tremblay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Derek Juarez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Steve Tremblay!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Alec Ball and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Juarez clinches with his opponent.
Tremblay can't find room to land a body shot as Juarez controls the action.

Juarez pulls guard.
Juarez could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Tremblay preventing the sweep.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tremblay passes Juarez's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Tremblay is trying to work for a kimura but Juarez is defending well.
Tremblay prevents Juarez from improving his position.
Tremblay throwing shots but Juarez is blocking nicely.
Juarez throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Juarez gets full guard.
Tremblay throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Juarez looking for a sweep. Not yet Juarez, not yet.

Tremblay wants to control from the top but Juarez keeps moving.
Tremblay is looking to work some ground and pound but Juarez has wrist control.
Tremblay has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Tremblay drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Juarez manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Tremblay has Juarez in his guard.
Tremblay not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Juarez in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Tremblay manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Juarez manages to get himself to full guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Juarez wants to sweep here but Tremblay controlling him for the moment.
Tremblay is in close to Juarez's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Tremblay won't allow Juarez to sweep him here.
Tremblay lands a couple of digs.


It looks like Derek Juarez has been cut.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Tremblay stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Juarez swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Tremblay thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Tremblay landing with the ground and pound.
Juarez is breathing heavily.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Tremblay working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.

Tremblay is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Juarez is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Juarez has escaped and now he's on top!

Tremblay is trying to keep Juarez in close.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

and Juarez counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Tremblay has his takedown stuffed
letting Juarez counter with a right hand.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Steve Tremblay dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Derek Juarez's cut.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Juarez pulls guard.
Tremblay makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.


Juarez is rocked!
Tremblay postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Juarez covers up, he's hurt! Tremblay keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Tremblay and the ref steps in to end the fight! Tremblay can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:35 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Steve Tremblay!
