Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mel Massey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and George Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Mel Massey! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, George Johnson! The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, James Atkins and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight moves into the clinch position. Massey looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Johnson is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Massey is defending well. Johnson stalling against the cage.
Massey jumps guard and drags Johnson to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Massey could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Massey avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Massey striking off his back. Massey wants to sweep but no luck. Massey trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Massey throws his legs up looking for a submission but Johnson uses it to pass to side control.
Massey is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Johnson off and has taken his back! Johnson is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Massey.
That's one minute gone in the round. Johnson tries to break free.
Massey avoiding Johnson 's attempts to control his hands. Massey looking for the choke from the back. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Good control from Massey. Johnson tries to escape but Massey has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Massey is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish.

Mel Massey has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Johnson fails with the takedown. Johnson has taken the fight to the clinch.
Johnson displaying some good clinch control by pressing Massey up against the cage. Both guys are working to get underhooks. A head punch blocked on the inside by Massey.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Johnson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Johnson misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Johnson has taken the fight to the clinch.
Johnson has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Massey is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Mel Massey has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of George Johnson. Johnson is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Massey pulls him back up using the underhooks. Johnson looks winded! Massey jumps guard but Johnson turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Massey decides to pull guard. Massey looking for a sweep. Not yet Massey, not yet. Johnson wants to control from the top but Massey keeps moving. Massey manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Johnson manages to get himself to full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Massey is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The ref stands the fighters back up. Mel Massey wasn't doing enough on the ground. Johnson shoots for a double leg takedown but Massey sprawls well. He's pushed Johnson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Massey manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Johnson on his heels. He'll look to pass Johnson's guard now, I'm sure. Massey stands up and waves to Johnson to follow him. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fight moves into the clinch position. Johnson misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Massey.
Johnson manages to pull guard.
Massey is looking to stand up but Johnson won't let him. Massey looking to control the position here, rather than advance. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Mel Massey has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Johnson closes the distance and clinches. Massey keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Johnson's efforts to push away. Massey drags the fight down to the ground.
Johnson wants to control from the top but Massey keeps moving. Massey pushes Johnson off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Johnson gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Massey counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Johnson thinking.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nice defenses there by Johnson. Massey scores with a takedown into Johnson's guard. Massey controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Mel Massey overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Massey gets to his feet - Johnson follows without any prompting. Johnson is breathing heavily. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Johnson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Massey pinned against the cage. Massey gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Johnson throws a body shot but no joy. George Johnson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Johnson tries for a takedown but Massey circles away easily and Massey counters with a three punch combo that has Johnson backing up. Johnson nods at Massey to acknowledge the strikes. Mel Massey has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of George Johnson. Massey misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Massey gets the takedown into side control. Massey moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Massey seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Johnson for as long as he can get away with. Massey connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Johnson some visible discomfort.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Massey is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Mel Massey. Johnson fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Massey avoids it really well and circles away. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Johnson closes the distance and clinches. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mel Massey dominated that second round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Johnson tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Massey defends well and Johnson ends up having to push Massey into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Johnson tries to stall but Massey uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Massey tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Johnson smiles and moves away.
Johnson misses with a takedown and Massey counters by clinching up. Massey is defending well against a takedown attempt. Mel Massey has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of George Johnson. Johnson is looking for a takedown. Johnson looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Johnson takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Johnson is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Johnson tries to pull guard but Massey holds him up against the cage and eventually Johnson drops back down to his feet.
Massey pulls guard successfully.
Massey is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Johnson stopping the sweep attempt from Massey. Massey manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Massey has hold of Johnson's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Johnson manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Massey controlling his opponent. Massey raining down hammerfists from mount. Massey controlling from the full mount. Johnson taking shots to the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Massey content just to control the position here. Massey gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks! Johnson misses with a takedown attempt and Massey counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Massey looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Massey is working for a submission of some sort.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Massey drops an elbow to the side of Johnson's head. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Massey stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Johnson to get to his feet. Massey drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Massey controls the position from side control. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Massey cracks Johnson with a big right hand but Johnson just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
George Johnson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Mel Massey is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Massey slows the pace down.
And that's the end of the fight! Mel Massey showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Massey, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
