Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Olivero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Butler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ivan Olivero! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Butler! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Wesley Smith and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Butler avoids the head kick by Olivero.
Butler fails with an attempt to clinch.
Butler tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Olivero paws at him with a jab and circles away. Butler tries to close the distance and clinch up but Olivero swats him away and circles back towards the center. Butler tries to close the distance and clinch but Olivero swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Butler takes one to the side of the head.
Butler moves in looking to clinch but Olivero pushes him off. Butler tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Butler is defended easily by Olivero. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Butler closes this distance looking for a takedown but Olivero circles away. Butler moves in looking to clinch but Olivero pushes him off. Butler shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Butler controlling the action here. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Let's hope that Butler has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by James Butler. Olivero scores with a nice head shot. Butler goes for a double leg but Olivero avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Olivero continues to drive forward. Ivan Olivero has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of James Butler. Butler is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Olivero to keep the fight standing. Butler pushes off an throws an elbow but Olivero leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Olivero with a knee to the head.
Olivero prevents the takedown attempt.
Olivero has the Thai clinch. He lands a big knee to the head that stumbles Butler - he's in trouble! Another big knee to the head from Olivero, and another! Butler is out on his feet - the ref jumps in to save him and ends the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knees). Ivan Olivero! A very excited looking Ivan Olivero made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
