Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brandon Couture (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Anderson kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Eminem - Legacy. The crowd seem to be enjoying Couture's choice of entrance music: Mama said knock you out. Brandon Couture has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Alexander Anderson's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Couture throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Anderson has taken the fight to the clinch.
Couture lands a hook to the side of the head.
Couture pushes Anderson back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Anderson is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Couture pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Anderson takes a shot to the head.
Couture swings wildly with an uppercut but Anderson uses good head movement to avoid it.
Couture lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Couture lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Couture manages to break the clinch.
Anderson shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Couture manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Couture is looking to stand up but Anderson isn't so interested in that idea.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Anderson chips away with some ground and pound.
Anderson sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Couture's guard.
Couture on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Anderson thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Couture makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Anderson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Couture tries to avoid it but Anderson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Couture to the ground. Couture escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Couture throws a hook to the side of Anderson's head but Anderson sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Nice takedown defense from Couture. No joy for Anderson on that attempt.
Anderson looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alexander Anderson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Anderson takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Brandon Couture is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Couture stuffs the takedown.
Anderson dives in and grabs Couture's left leg, looking for a takedown. Couture pushes down on Anderson's head and hops out.
Anderson shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Anderson was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Anderson is breathing heavily.
Couture is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Anderson is controlling him well.
Couture managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Anderson.
Couture explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
Anderson shoots in looking for a takedown. Couture tries to sprawl out of it but Anderson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Couture manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Couture throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Anderson on the side of the head.
Couture tries to clinch but Anderson moves out of range.
Anderson scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Anderson not landing any meaningful shots this time.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Anderson connects with a nice short shot to Couture's temple.

Couture manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Couture throws a hook but Anderson blocks it.
Anderson takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Anderson.
Anderson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Couture's waist but Couture gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Anderson off to one side.
Couture lands the left hand.
Couture defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Anderson.
Anderson slips under a jab from Couture.
Couture looks to land a left hand but Anderson moved out of range nicely.
Couture looks to throw the jab but Anderson is out of range.
Couture throws a hook but Anderson avoids it easily.
Couture cracks Anderson with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Anderson tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Couture pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Anderson is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Brandon Couture!
As Brandon Couture got his breath back, he grabbed the microphone and managed to blurt out the following: Who's next?! That is all. '.
