The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Steve Montenegro and Eddie Farnsworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
An inside leg kick lands from Crystavox.
Crystavox tries to close the distance and clinch but Thomas swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

and Thomas counters with a two punch combo.

and Thomas counters with a nice leg kick.
Crystavox moves into range and lands a nice body kick.

Mark Thomas has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chris Crystavox.

Crystavox feints and then cracks Thomas's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Thomas down.

Crystavox fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Thomas on the side of the head.

Thomas gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Crystavox postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Thomas is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Crystavox, into his guard.

Crystavox is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Thomas is pushing down on Crystavox's leg trying to pass to half guard. Crystavox is fighting to maintain full guard but Thomas has managed to sneak the leg through.

Thomas seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Crystavox does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Thomas wants to control from the top but Crystavox keeps moving.

Thomas takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Crystavox wants to lay and pray for a moment but Thomas keeps working.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Crystavox has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Thomas defend it? Crystavox steps over the head and cranks it - Thomas is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Crystavox!
