Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Willy Wonka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jay Zol (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wonka's entrance music is Mr Rotten Treats - Insane Clown Posse. A fine choice. Willy Wonka has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Zol bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Wonka is looking to reverse the position.
Wonka is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at LOD: Gym of the Gods, so we'll see if he gets out of it.
Wonka manages to get back to half guard.

Wonka is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Zol pulls his head out easily.

Zol looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Wonka with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Zol working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well.

Wonka goes for a double leg but Zol avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Zol continues to drive forward.

Zol wants the takedown. Wonka is fighting it off but Zol persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Wonka's guard against the cage.
