Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, James Crumpton! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Gary Anderson! The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Colin Fotheringham and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Crumpton fails with the takedown. Anderson throws an overhand right that lands on Crumpton's shoulder, as Crumpton tries to avoid the shot. Anderson closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Crumpton trying to hold on to Anderson's head to control him but Anderson postures up.
Crumpton gets full guard. Crumpton has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Anderson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Anderson wants to control from the top but Crumpton keeps moving. Crumpton pushes Anderson off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Crumpton scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Anderson regains full guard. Nicely done. Anderson is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Crumpton is working Anderson over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Anderson wants to stand up but Crumpton is controlling him. Anderson looks gassed! Crumpton stands up over Anderson, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Crumpton works over Anderson with some ground and pound from guard. Anderson wriggles free and stands up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Crumpton has taken the fight to the clinch.
Crumpton decides to pull guard. Anderson prevents Crumpton from getting back to his feet. Anderson looking to pass the guard. Crumpton working for a triangle but Anderson defends it easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Anderson is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Anderson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Crumpton working for a triangle but Anderson defends it easily.
Anderson wants to stand but Crumpton is controlling his posture from full guard. Anderson throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Crumpton works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Crumpton manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Anderson manages to get himself to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Crumpton gets to his feet. Anderson looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Crumpton has managed to clinch.
Crumpton lands with a left to the head. Crumpton prevents the takedown attempt.
Crumpton dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. Crumpton has clasped his hands together around Anderson's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Anderson trying his best to control but Crumpton has mounted him. A nice elbow there by Crumpton. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
James Crumpton dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Anderson has his takedown stuffed and Crumpton counters with a single leg into guard. Anderson didn't expect that. Crumpton decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Crumpton has managed to clinch.

Anderson fails with the takedown and Crumpton counters with a nice double leg into half guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Crumpton is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Crumpton slows the pace down in half guard. Crumpton is pressing down on Anderson's thigh, looking to free his foot. Anderson is holding on for now. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Anderson tries to roll over but Crumpton keeps him under control. James Crumpton overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Anderson has hold of Crumpton's hands but Crumpton slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Crumpton content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Anderson trying to control but Crumpton postures up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Anderson is looking to escape.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Crumpton scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Anderson is trying to work for a sweep but Crumpton has mounted him! Anderson wants to hold on but Crumpton pushes him away. Crumpton jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Anderson manages to avoid the submission attempt. Crumpton trying to control the position but Anderson is working away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Crumpton throws a strike aimed at the side of Anderson's head but Anderson avoids it well. Crumpton taking a breather here. Anderson can't do much from the bottom here. Crumpton working the ground and pound.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Anderson tries to improve position but can't. Crumpton really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Anderson is letting Crumpton control him for a moment. Anderson is looking for a sweep.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Crumpton bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Anderson is pushing Crumpton's head away, looking to escape. Crumpton manages to hold on to the position though. Crumpton tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Anderson tries to buck Crumpton off but Crumpton is having none of it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
James Crumpton dominated that second round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! And we move into the final round!

Crumpton looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Crumpton throws a series of punches but Anderson avoids them all with ease. Crumpton scores with a takedown into Anderson's guard. Crumpton postures up.
Crumpton wanted to stand there but Anderson had control of the position. Anderson is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Crumpton wants to control from the top but Anderson keeps moving. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Anderson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Crumpton can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Anderson is looking to improve his position.
Crumpton working Anderson over with strikes. Nice strikes from Crumpton there. Crumpton stands up out of the half guard. Crumpton gets the takedown into side control. Anderson manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Crumpton keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount. Crumpton manages to escape and get back to his feet! Anderson doesn't succeed with the takedown and Crumpton counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Anderson is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Crumpton jumps into side control! Anderson takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Crumpton decides to stand back up. Crumpton steps back and let's Anderson get back to his feet. Crumpton stalks Anderson and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Anderson's face. Anderson staggers backwards, shaken.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Anderson closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Anderson swings around for an armbar but Crumpton sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Anderson's guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Crumpton stands and steps away. Anderson gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Anderson darts in trying to clinch and Crumpton counters with a nice double leg into side control. Anderson won't be happy with that. Crumpton is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Anderson will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Crumpton is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Anderson can do to turn this around? Anderson bucks up and tries to throw Crumpton off but instead Crumpton has got his back! Gary Anderson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! James Crumpton is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Crumpton keeps control of the position easily here as Anderson tries to buck him off.
And that's the end of the fight! James Crumpton showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Crumpton, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
