Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jake Baker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Everett Dante (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Baker comes to the cage accompanied by The Duck Song. Dante has chosen Dont Fear the Reaper by Blue Oyster Cult as his entrance music. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jake Baker! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Everett Dante! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Alan Glass and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dante stuffs the takedown. Dante should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Baker closes the distance and clinches up with Dante, looking for a takedown. Baker pushes Dante against the cage but Dante circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Baker fails miserably with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jake Baker. That's going to take a lot out of him. Baker looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Baker is tying to control. Dante wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Baker prevents Dante from improving his position. Dante manages to get to full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round. Baker showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Dante looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Dante has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Baker can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Baker tries to free his leg and advance position but Dante is retaining full guard. Baker avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Dante looks gassed! Baker controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Baker won't allow Dante to sweep him here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dante can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Baker controls the pace. Dante working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Baker doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Baker manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Baker is stalling in the full guard. Baker knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Dante on the ground. Baker trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Baker postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Baker slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Dante wants to control but Baker postures up. Baker moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. An elbow from Baker crashes against the mat.
Dante is trying to control Baker's posture but Baker avoids it. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dante gets back to half guard. Baker is taking a breather. Dante says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Baker wants to take a breather but Dante is having none of it. Baker controlling the action here.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Jake Baker just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Dante gets the takedown into side control. Dante tries to move into full mount but can't pass Baker's legs.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dante working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. What's Baker going to do here then? He's in a bit of a pickle. Baker is looking to reverse the position. Dante swings around for an armbar but Baker sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Dante's guard. Baker is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Dante has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Baker can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Baker trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Dante has eaten all the pies! There's a bit of a scramble here and now Dante is on top in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dante controls from within his opponent's guard. Baker pulls Dante in to control the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Everett Dante dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Baker drives through and clinches with Dante against the cage.
Baker has picked Dante up - he's going for a ride! Baker dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Baker prevents Dante from improving his position. Baker controlling the pace. Dante regains full guard. Nicely done. Dante is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Dante pushes a forearm under Baker's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Baker is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:50 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Everett Dante!
