Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Octavio Camacho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jon Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jon Jones has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Octavio Camacho's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Octavio Camacho!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jon Jones!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Wesley Smith and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Jones.
Jones lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Camacho circles away quickly and effectively.
Jones lands a leg kick that knocks Camacho off balance momentarily.

Jones has closed the distance and engaged Camacho in a clinch.
Camacho fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Jones goes for a takedown attempt but Camacho pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Jones throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Jones closes the distance and clinches.
Camacho tries to stall but Jones uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Camacho scores with a shot to the side of Jones's head.
Camacho is pushing Jones up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Jones goes for a takedown in the clinch but Camacho prevents it.
Octavio Camacho has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jon Jones.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Camacho scores with a shot to the side of Jones's head.

Camacho wants to get back to striking at distance but Jones won't allow it.
Jones is looking to take this one to the mat.
Camacho is trying to force a seperation but Jones has the dominant position.

Camacho's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Camacho misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Jones.
Jones tries a head kick but it misses.
Jones scores with a head kick.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Camacho fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Jones to the ground. Camacho is now in Jones's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Jones not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Camacho gets to his feet - Jones follows without any prompting.
Jones shoots in looking for a takedown but Camacho manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Jones's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

and Camacho holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Camacho lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Jones backwards.
Camacho wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Jones tries for a takedown. No joy.

Camacho escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Camacho drives through with a takedown into guard.

Camacho drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Camacho jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Camacho postures up and lands a big shot to Jones's brow.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Jones is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Camacho stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Camacho misses with a hook.
Camacho throws a hook but Jones avoids it easily.
Jones misses with a takedown attempt

and Camacho moves into the clinch.
Camacho pressing his opponent against the cage.
Camacho lands with a short shot to the head.
Camacho stalling the fight.
Camacho misses with a body punch.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Camacho has a couple of punches blocked by Jones.

Jones breaks from the clinch.
Jones stuffs the takedown attempt from Camacho. Camacho gets slowly back to his feet.
Jones throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Camacho's waist but Camacho gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jones off to one side.

Camacho closes the distance and clinches.
Jones jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Camacho walks away with a smile on his face. Jones gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Camacho looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Camacho is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Jones is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Octavio Camacho!
