Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Demarcus Bate (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sick Puppy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Demarcus Bate! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
20 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sick Puppy! The judges for this bout are William Gold, Chris Edwards and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Puppy throws a hook but Bate blocks it. Bate scores with a crisp jab that stopped Puppy in his tracks. Bate moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Puppy chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Bate can pounce on him.
Bate cracks the inside of Puppy's front leg. Bate misses with a body shot.
Puppy misses with a wild combination.
Puppy moves away from the strike by Bate. Puppy misses with an uppercut. Bate saw that one coming. Bate lands with a thumping leg kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Puppy takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Bate digs a good body shot into Puppy's ribs. Puppy uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Bate.
Puppy rushes Bate and presses him up against the cage. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Puppy is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
That's one minute gone in the round. Puppy lands a left hand.
Bate lands an elbow just above Puppy 's eye. Puppy with a knee to the head.
Puppy misses with a hook from the clinch. Puppy tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Bate tries to stall but Puppy uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Bate has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Puppy is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Puppy drops down looking for an ankle pick but Bate pulls his leg out and moves away.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Bate checks a leg kick. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Puppy has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Bate swings for the body but Puppy moves out of range.
Puppy looks to score with a jab to the body but Bate is just out of range. Puppy looks for a takedown but Bate sprawls well. Bate fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Puppy is out of range.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bate throws a wild body kick that Puppy sees coming a mile off. Puppy closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Bate to the mat! Bate manages to get full guard. Puppy postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Puppy postures up in Bate's guard and throws a big left but Bate blocks it. Bate working for a triangle but Puppy defends it easily.
Puppy trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Bate looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Bate is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Puppy is aware though and is defending well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Puppy wants to control from the top but Bate keeps moving. Bate is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Puppy has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Bate thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Puppy's head. Puppy is refusing to be controlled, as Bate sits in half guard. Puppy is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Bate's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Bate's back! Bate tries to escape the position.
Puppy lands shots from the back. Bate wants to control his opponent's hands but Puppy gets his hands free. Puppy lands a shot to the head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bate covers up after that shot from Puppy.
Bate manages to scramble and ends up in full guard, under a barage of strikes . Great composure from Bate. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Bate is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Puppy defends well. Puppy working some strikes from top position. Puppy postures up in Bate's guard and throws a big left but Bate blocks it. Puppy is fighting to break Bate's control of his arms but Bate is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Bate is on top in guard.
Bate loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Sick Puppy will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Bate lands a body shot.
Puppy keeps Bate at a distance using the push kick. Puppy scores with a leg kick.
Puppy tries to close the distance and clinch up but Bate swats him away and circles back towards the center. Puppy misses with a left hand and Bate holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Bate working some nice short punches in the clinch. Puppy is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Bate to keep the fight standing. Puppy fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Puppy looking for a takedown. Puppy looking for a takedown. Demarcus Bate has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sick Puppy. Puppy is trying to drag Bate to the mat but Bate just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Puppy changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Bate fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Demarcus Bate is winning the standup battle so far. Puppy goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Puppy tries to clinch but Bate moves out of range. Bate scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Puppy tries to score with a low kick but Bate moves his leg out of the way. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Bate lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Puppy has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Puppy and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. A left lands for Bate. Bate is looking to wear down Puppy with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Puppy throws a jab when Bate was well out of range. Bate pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Puppy lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Puppy swings for the body but Bate moves out of range.
Bate shoots in but Puppy avoids the takedown attempt easily. Puppy ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Bate moves away. Puppy throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Bate shoots in for a double leg but Puppy sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Puppy pushing out the jab but it's not landing. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! A jab from Puppy misses. Puppy misses with a series of wild punches.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Puppy gets a clinch. Bate lands a nice elbow from the clinch. Puppy misses with the head strike.
Bate lands an elbow just above Puppy 's eye. Bate gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Puppy drops down looking for an ankle pick but Bate pulls his leg out and moves away.
Bate throws the left hand but Puppy avoids the punch easily. Bate throws a body punch but Puppy moves out of range. Puppy shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Bate is holding on to half guard well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bate looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Puppy throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Bate is working on a guillotine. He's managed to get to full guard and he's really squeezing tight! Puppy is tapping! Great win for Bate!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:32 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Demarcus Bate! A very excited looking Demarcus Bate rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
