Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Francis Hale!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Gordon Alexander!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Paul Tew and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Alexander.

Hale changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Alexander looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Alexander is trying to improve his position.
Alexander keeps trying to improve his position.
Alexander is trying to control Hale's posture but Hale avoids it.
Alexander tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Hale wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Alexander looking for a sweep but Hale has passed into full mount! Oh no!
Alexander can't escape the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Alexander tries to lock up and control but Hale gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Alexander is looking to improve his position but Hale isn't that keen on the idea.
Poor strikes thrown by Hale there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Alexander tries to hold on but Hale postures up.
Alexander is trying desperately to improve position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Alexander wants to control but Hale is having none of it.
Hale postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Alexander looks a forlorn figure.
Alexander tries to hold on but Hale pushes him away.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Alexander is wriggling around trying to escape.
Hale sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Alexander really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Alexander wants to hold on but Hale pushes him away.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Hale knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Alexander on the ground.
Alexander is trying desperately to improve position.
Hale landing strikes, looking to finish!
Alexander sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Alexander pushes Hale off looking to stand but Hale dives back in and keeps control.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Alexander is trying to maintain the position but Hale is very close to passing his half guard.
Alexander throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Gordon Alexander dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Alexander gets the takedown into side control.
Alexander trying to control the position but Hale is working away.
Alexander tries to score with some ground and pound. Hale controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Alexander in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Hale is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
