Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Floris Maljers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Peters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Maljers might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to The End by the Doors. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, James Peters!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maljers swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Maljers will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

and Peters counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

and Peters counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Maljers shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Peters eats them both and turns towards Maljers to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Peters on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Peters pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Maljers closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Peters to the mat! Peters manages to get full guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Maljers looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Peters got a little sloppy there for a moment and Maljers has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Peters has managed to get both his arms back between Maljers's legs - danger averted.
Maljers is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close second round but I would say that Floris Maljers will probably get the nod.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Maljers, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
