The judges for this bout are William Gold, Steven Brown and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Russo moves in looking to clinch but Sweeney pushes him off.

Russo throws a low kick but Sweeney avoids it.
Sweeney on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Russo. Russo obviously looking to wear him down.

Russo fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Sweeney manages to avoid it.
Sweeney looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Russo misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Russo ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Sweeney moves away.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Sweeney has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Sweeney, as that shot connected.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Leeroy Russo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Russo tries to close the distance and clinch but Sweeney swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Russo looks to clinch
and Sweeney counters with a huge left! Russo is in big trouble! He's backing up but Sweeney isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Russo from any more damage. A dominating finish by Sweeney!
