Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Robert Douchet and Dillan Fox.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silve tries to clinch up but Kavanaue circles away and keeps his distance.

and Kavanaue counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Silve displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Kavanaue.
Kavanaue darts in looking for a takedown but Silve gets double underhooks and turns Kavanaue into the cage.
Kavanaue has Silve pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Silve manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Dan Silve has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jason Kavanaue.
Silve dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.
Silve lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Kavanaue or not.
Kavanaue is trying to push Silve away but Silve has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Kavanaue stops a takedown attempt from Silve.
Silve looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Kavanaue is trying to break free.
Silve drops down looking for an ankle pick but Kavanaue pulls his leg out and moves away.

Silve keeps the fight on the outside.

Kavanaue stuffs the takedown attempt from Silve. Silve gets slowly back to his feet.
Silve tries to close the distance and clinch but Kavanaue swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Silve looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Silve shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Kavanaue sprawls well. Kavanaue wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Silve gets slowly back to his feet.

Kavanaue comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Silve throws a left and a right that both miss
and Kavanaue counters with a nice body shot.
Silve is breathing heavily.
Silve throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kavanaue's waist but Kavanaue gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Silve off to one side.
Kavanaue throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Silve.
Dan Silve seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Silve misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

and Kavanaue counters with a nice right hand that sends Silve toppling to the canvas! Silve scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Kavanaue finish him?!

It looks like Dan Silve has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kavanaue throws a body punch but Silve moves out of range.
Kavanaue looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Silve gets tackled into the cage by Kavanaue. Kavanaue maintains the clinch.

Kavanaue escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Kavanaue cracks Silve with a hook to the temple - Silve is on wobbly legs here! Kavanaue swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Silve falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Kavanaue wins by TKO!
