Kerns comes to the cage accompanied by Johnny Cash - Hurt. Chimpo is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Crazy Train. Jack Kerns could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Johnny Chimpo's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kerns throws a body punch but Chimpo moves out of range.
Johnny Chimpo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Chimpo misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Kerns looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Chimpo moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Kerns misses with a straight right.
Chimpo misses the body punch
and Kerns counters with a straight right hand.

It looks like Johnny Chimpo has been cut.
Chimpo is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Kerns.

Kerns looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
This has been an exciting period of action!
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kerns accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Kerns trying to control the position from guard on top but Chimpo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Chimpo is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Chimpo is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Kerns missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Kerns works over Chimpo with some ground and pound from guard.
Kerns cracks Chimpo with a solid left hand.
Kerns tries to free his leg and advance position but Chimpo is retaining full guard.
Chimpo looking for a sweep. Not yet Chimpo, not yet.

Chimpo looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Kerns working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Kerns forces his way into half guard.

Chimpo pushes Kerns off and gets back to his feet.

Kerns explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Chimpo looks gassed!
Kerns throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Kerns throws a half hearted mid kick.
Chimpo throws a right and a left that Kerns avoids nicely.
Chimpo misses with a wild body shot.

Kerns clinches up with Chimpo and pushes him back against the cage.
Chimpo tries to break the clinch but Kerns is controlling the position.
Kerns swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Kerns lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
A head punch on the inside from Kerns fails to land.
Kerns presses Chimpo against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.

Kerns successfully pulls guard.
Chimpo wants to control from the top but Kerns keeps moving.

Kerns looking for a sweep. Not yet Kerns, not yet.
Kerns doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Chimpo with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Kerns keeping moving, preventing Chimpo from controlling successfully.
Chimpo cracks Kerns with a solid left hand.
Chimpo is in close to Kerns's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Kerns lands a nice hook to Chimpo's body. Chimpo takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Chimpo keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Kerns.
Kerns rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Chimpo moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Kerns throws a head kick that lands with a deafening thwack! The crowd roars as Chimpo stumbles backwards and falls to the mat. Kerns follows into mount!

Chimpo is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Oooooh, big shot lands for Kerns! Chimpo is hurt baaadly! Kerns is firing away with more strikes - Chimpo is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
