Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Luiz Cueva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Schicke Diddis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Diddis has chosen The Last of the Mohicans - Promentory as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Schicke Diddis! The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Ivan Kurochkin and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Diddis shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Diddis has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Cueva is proving hard to escape from. Cueva keeping moving, preventing Diddis from controlling successfully. Cueva working a defensive guard but Diddis passes into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Diddis seems to be looking for submissions.
Diddis wants to control but Cueva is keeping him busy. Diddis not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Cueva wants to improve his position but Diddis is controlling well.
Cueva is defending against the submission attempts here by Diddis.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Diddis is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Cueva defends it well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cueva is trying to get back to full guard. Cueva looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Diddis is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Diddis is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Cueva is working hard here to advance position. Diddis is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Cueva is just riding it out for now. Diddis eventually gives up the hold. Diddis seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Cueva does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Cueva is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Diddis pulls his head out easily. We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Diddis has eaten all the pies! Diddis wants to lay and pray for a moment but Cueva keeps working.

Cueva on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Diddis is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Cueva has managed to free his arm - good work. Diddis is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Cueva defends it well. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Diddis is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Diddis thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Cueva's head. Diddis controlling the action here. Cueva trying to control here.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Diddis is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Schicke Diddis dominated that round. That's time! Cueva's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Cueva closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Cueva lands in his opponent's guard. Cueva content to stall in guard here. Cueva got a little sloppy there for a moment and Diddis has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Cueva has managed to get both his arms back between Diddis's legs - danger averted. Cueva stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Diddis swivels though and keeps the full guard. Diddis is working an open guard so Cueva takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Diddis shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Cueva pinned against the cage. Cueva gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Diddis avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cueva drives through with a takedown into guard. Diddis looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Diddis is breathing heavily. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Diddis keeping moving, preventing Cueva from controlling successfully. Cueva is sitting in close to Diddis's body. Diddis has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Cueva is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Cueva is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Diddis.
