Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vince Dixon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and MSgt. Rupert Ritzik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rupert Ritzik. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 33 - 24 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Vince Dixon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, MSgt. Rupert Ritzik!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, George Francis and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ritzik takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.


It looks like Vince Dixon has been cut.
Dixon swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Ritzik counters with a thumping low kick.
Dixon misses with a body punch
and Ritzik counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Dixon doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Dixon throws a body punch but Ritzik moves out of range.
Dixon scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Ritzik doesn't seem bothered though.
Dixon rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Dixon takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Ritzik buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
A bone on bone clash there as Ritzik blocks the leg kick.
Ritzik looks to throw the jab but Dixon is out of range.
Dixon misses with an uppercut
and Ritzik counters with a nice low kick that buckles Dixon's knee momentarily.
Dixon doesn't manage to clinch there - Ritzik circles away.
Dixon slips a jab from Ritzik.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Dixon misses with a body kick.
Dixon fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ritzik manages to avoid it.
Dixon ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Dixon is looking to wear down Ritzik with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Ritzik fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Dixon looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Dixon throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Ritzik missing with a left hand there. Dixon was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Ritzik ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Dixon misses the shot to the body.
A thudding body kick lands there by Ritzik!
Ritzik works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

Dixon shoots in and bounces Ritzik off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ritzik managing to control the position.
Ritzik's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Dixon tries to free his leg and advance position but Ritzik is retaining full guard.
Ritzik pulls Dixon in to control the position.
Dixon wants to pass the guard but Ritzik is keeping the position.
Dixon controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Dixon pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Ritzik is keeping the position for now.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Ritzik keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Dixon tries to clinch there but Ritzik circles away.
MSgt. Rupert Ritzik is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Dixon gets the takedown into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dixon in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
Ritzik is trying to control Dixon's posture but Dixon avoids it.
Dixon sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Ritzik is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Ritzik regains half guard, as Dixon was trying to land strikes.
Dixon is trying to control the action in half guard but Ritzik is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Ritzik is looking for a sweep. Dixon is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Dixon thows a huge punch but Ritzik dodges it nicely.
Dixon not landing any meaningful shots this time.

Dixon drops an elbow to the side of Ritzik's head.
Ritzik is looking to control Dixon's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Ritzik avoid being mounted?
Ritzik is positioning himself well to prevent Dixon advancing to mount.
Dixon missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Ritzik avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Dixon.
Dixon working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Ritzik's thigh. Ritzik counters though and makes it back to full guard.
Ritzik controlling Dixon's posture.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but MSgt. Rupert Ritzik will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Vince Dixon's cut.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Dixon missing with a left hand there. Ritzik was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

It looks like MSgt. Rupert Ritzik has been cut.
Ritzik circles away from the clinch attempt.
Dixon ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ritzik moves away.
Dixon misses with a wild combination.
Dixon fails with an attempt to clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dixon tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Ritzik finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Dixon scores with a body shot.

Dixon lands with a good body shot.
Ritzik is breathing heavily.

Dixon tries to clinch up but Ritzik circles away and keeps his distance.

Ritzik walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

and Ritzik counters with a stiff right hand.

and Ritzik counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

Dixon shoots in for a double leg but Ritzik sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Some wild striking there from Dixon.
Ritzik changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Dixon connects with a leg kick. Ritzik looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Dixon takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Dixon tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Ritzik manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Ritzik catches Dixon with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Ritzik lunges at Dixon with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Dixon's hand.
A looping hook to the body misses from Dixon. Ritzik does a little dance to reset his feet.
A left lands for Ritzik.
Vince Dixon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Ritzik blocks the body kick.
Dixon fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Ritzik avoids it really well and circles away.
Dixon wants to clinch.
Ritzik lands a nice shot that snaps Dixon's head back.
Ritzik lands with a right hand.

Jeez, Vince Dixon's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
That's time! Back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Dixon dives in for a single leg takedown but Ritzik sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
With the fighters up against the cage, Dixon throws an elbow but misses.

Dixon has picked Ritzik up - he's going for a ride! Dixon dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Ritzik is trying to maintain the position but Dixon is very close to passing his half guard.

Ritzik felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
Ritzik is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Dixon's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Dixon's back!
Dixon rolls, trying to escape but Ritzik keeps control of the position.
Dixon is working hard here to advance position.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

A lull in the action here.
Vince Dixon has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Ritzik is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
Dixon tries to break free.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Ritzik patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here?
Dixon breaks Ritzik's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

I think Ritzik has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

MSgt. Rupert Ritzik spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
