The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rodriguez throws a poor cross that misses

and Bisping counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Bisping.
Rodriguez wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Rodriguez is looking to break free of the clinch but Bisping has double underhooks.

Rodriguez is fighting off a takedown attempt but Bisping is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Rodriguez to the mat. Rodriguez regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Bisping stands and throws Rodriguez's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Rodriguez is looking to regain half guard here but Bisping keeps moving and retains side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
