Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Ren Mimura and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Apostol moves into the clinch successfully.
Apostol lands an elbow just above Flash 's eye.
It looks like The Flash has been cut.
Flash can't get the takedown.
Apostol looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Flash blocks the elbow strike.
Flash is trying to push Apostol away but Apostol has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Apostol lands an elbow that stopped Flash in his tracks for a moment.
Apostol gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Flash.
Apostol is pressed up against the cage. Flash has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Apostol down to the mat. Apostol avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Mark Apostol has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of The Flash.
Apostol throws a right and a left that Flash avoids nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Apostol tries to close the distance and clinch up but Flash swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Apostol definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Apostol tries to close the distance and clinch but Flash swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Flash keeps the fight on the outside.
Apostol moves in looking to clinch but Flash pushes him off.
Apostol tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Flash paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Apostol tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Flash counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Flash lands a couple of elbows.
Flash advances position into side control!
Apostol is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Flash landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.
Flash scoring with punches and elbows.
Flash wants to control but Apostol is keeping him busy.
Flash throws an elbow but Apostol slips to the side and avoids it well.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Flash is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Apostol knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Apostol knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Flash on the ground.
The referee asks Flash politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Flash prefers to stall for the moment though.
Flash scores with punches from side control.
Apostol takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Flash just content to control the position.
Apostol on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Apostol tries to get out of the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Flash working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well.
An elbow from Flash crashes against the mat.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Flash wants to control but Apostol is keeping him busy.
Flash is working to tighten his grip on Apostol's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Apostol has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Flash is really squeezing tight and eventually Apostol passes out! Flash breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
