Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Bruno Krause (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Danjie Mercado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mercado has chosen Pagsubok as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are William Gold, Chris Edwards and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mercado stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Krause.
We've been hearing reports that Krause has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Krause tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Mercado was well out of range. Poor timing from Krause.
Mercado misses with a body shot.
Mercado gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Mercado feints and as Krause raises his hands in defense, Mercado changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Krause keeping moving, preventing Mercado from controlling successfully.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mercado is looking to advance position but Krause has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
Mercado regains half guard.
Krause wants to lay and pray for a moment but Mercado keeps working.
Mercado slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Mercado working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Krause doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Mercado is tightening it up a little... Krause has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Krause reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Krause taps out! Nice BJJ there by Mercado!
