Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ken Oath (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bruce Li (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Oath kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Do you fuck on first dates. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 34 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Bruce Li!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Paul Tew and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oath looks to land a body kick but Li moved away.
Oath scores with a kick to the midsection.
Li swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Oath pushes Li away with a front kick.
Li works the jab nicely.


It looks like Ken Oath has been cut.
Oath keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.


It looks like Bruce Li has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Oath scores with a kick to the midsection.
Li avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Ken Oath seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A solid leg kick lands there for Oath.

Oath feints and as Li raises his hands in defense, Oath changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Oath has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Oath wants to control from the top but Li keeps moving.
Li avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Li tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Oath is looking to work some ground and pound but Li has wrist control.

Oath has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Oath ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Li moves away.
Oath throws out a loose jab but Li uses good head movement to avoid it.
Li motions for Oath to come forward. Li throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Oath shoots in looking for a takedown. Li tries to sprawl out of it but Oath keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Li manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Oath misses with a straight left.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Li wants to clinch up but Oath keeps it at a distance.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Li crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Oath - the referee stops the clock and Li gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Oath. Li manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Li lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Li throws a low kick but Oath moves out of range easily.
Oath takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Oath throws a nice outside leg kick.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Li walks into a left hand.
Li tries to land a front kick but Oath steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Oath tries a head kick but it misses.
Oath misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Li.
Oath misses with an uppercut.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Oath takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Li keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Li fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Oath has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Li tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Li throws the left hand but Oath avoids the punch easily.
Oath lands with a nice body punch.
Oath lands with a cross.
Oath needs to keep his hands up - Li had a free shot at his head there.

Li lands a big head kick that sends Oath tumbling to the mat! Li takes a step backwards and waves Oath back to his feet - he wants the finish!


Oath is rocked!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
A nice inside leg kick there by Li. That's going to slow Oath down.
Oh Oath is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Oath bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Li crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Oath - the referee stops the clock and Li gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Oath. Li manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
A looping hook to the body misses from Oath. Li does a little dance to reset his feet.
Oath throws a low kick but Li moves out of range easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Ken Oath will probably get the nod.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Oath throws a good cross that connects.
Oath seems to have got his legs back now.
Oath tries to score with a low kick but Li moves his leg out of the way.
Oath is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Li drops Oath with a big left hand! Oath is injured, injured bad! Li jumps in and finished him with strikes! The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:16 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bruce Li!
