Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Bob Acton! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Majnon Wandunullha! The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Fedor Mirinova and Aleksei Zolotukhin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Acton fails with the takedown and Wandunullha counters with a series of strikes. Acton will be more careful next time no doubt. Acton misses with a takedown attempt - Wandunullha sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Wandunullha leaves Acton with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bob Acton. That's going to take a lot out of him. No joy there for Wandunullha, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Acton shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Wandunullha but Wandunullha pushes him off and we're back to square one. Wandunullha is looking to slow Acton down with leg kicks.
That's one minute gone in the round. Acton looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Acton tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Wandunullha swivels and escapes. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Wandunullha throws a nice outside leg kick. Wandunullha feints and as Acton raises his hands in defense, Wandunullha changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Acton pulls Wandunullha in to control the position. Wandunullha throwing strikes from guard but Acton blocks nicely. Wandunullha throws a big right hand that misses. Wandunullha must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Wandunullha is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. Wandunullha is squirming around, avoiding Acton's attempts to control the action. Acton controlling the position easily from mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Acton with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Wandunullha really wants to buck Acton off and get back to his feet. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Acton is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Wandunullha to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Wandunullha shrugs it off. Acton trying to control but he's not successful this time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Majnon Wandunullha dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Acton darts in looking for a takedown but Wandunullha gets double underhooks and turns Acton into the cage. Acton is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Wandunullha can't fight it off and eventually Acton manages to take the fight to the floor. Wandunullha looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Wandunullha keeping moving, preventing Acton from controlling successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round. Acton seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Wandunullha keeping full guard, as Acton tries to pass.
We're going to have a standup here because Bob Acton wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Wandunullha thuds his right hand into Acton's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Wandunullha fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Acton sprawls well initially but Wandunullha persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Wandunullha with a flurry of punches that miss. Wandunullha content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Wandunullha throws a big elbow that misses. Acton lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Acton wants to pass the guard but Wandunullha is keeping the position. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Wandunullha is looking to stand up but Acton isn't so interested in that idea.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wandunullha avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Acton sitting in guard here, content to control. Acton with a flurry of punches that miss. Acton pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Wandunullha is keeping the position for now. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Wandunullha stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Acton avoids a punch combination nicely.
Acton shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Acton trying to control but Wandunullha is working from the bottom. Wandunullha is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Acton trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Wandunullha ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Acton moves away. Acton takes one to the side of the head.
Bob Acton seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Acton. Acton fails with a takedown attempt. Wandunullha closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Acton to the mat! Acton manages to get full guard. Bob Acton overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Wandunullha loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wandunullha missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Wandunullha accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Wandunullha trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Wandunullha stopping the sweep attempt from Acton. Wandunullha throws an elbow that misses. Acton uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Wandunullha's guard. Nice move by Acton! Acton pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Wandunullha is keeping the position for now. Acton pushes down on Wandunullha's leg and manages to get into half guard. Acton is keen to just control but Wandunullha is a slippery customer.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Bob Acton. I think Acton has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
