Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Dean Nicholls!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 36 - 16 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mark Woleman!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Sam Margolis and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Woleman lands a slapping body shot.

Nicholls drives through and clinches with Woleman against the cage.
Woleman is trying to break the clinch but Nicholls is controlling him.
Nicholls lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.

Woleman has picked Nicholls up - he's going for a ride! Woleman dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Woleman uses his free foot to push down on Nicholls's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Nicholls.

Woleman lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Woleman trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Nicholls slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.

Woleman has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Mark Woleman hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Nicholls throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Woleman's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Woleman duly obliges.

Nicholls is looking to clinch.
Woleman throws a body shot but no joy.
Nicholls on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Woleman lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Woleman takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Woleman is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Nicholls rather than just go for the knockout.
Nicholls tries to close the distance and clinch but Woleman swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Woleman lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Nicholls is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Woleman.
Woleman throws a body shot but no joy.
Woleman lands a right hook to the body.
Nicholls misses with a body kick.

Nicholls closes the distance and clinches.
Nicholls throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Nicholls using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Woleman has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Woleman is working for takedown but Nicholls is calmly controlling the position for now.
Woleman stalling in the clinch but Nicholls improves position.
Nicholls throws a knee to the head but misses.
Woleman throws a punch but it's blocked by Nicholls.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mark Woleman dominated that round.

Woleman swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Nicholls.
Nicholls has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Nicholls there as he acknowledges the shot.

and Woleman counters with a nice body shot.
Mark Woleman is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Woleman shoots in and bounces Nicholls off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Nicholls is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Nicholls wants to improve his position but Woleman is controlling well.
Nicholls is staying active underneath Woleman, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Nicholls throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Nicholls does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Woleman fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Nicholls manages to avoid it.

Nicholls will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Mark Woleman showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Oh Nicholls is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Mark Woleman seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Woleman blocks a jab.
Nicholls seems to have got his legs back now.
Woleman is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Nicholls misses with an attempted mid kick.
Nicholls walks straight into a right hand from Woleman - that's dropped him! Woleman jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Nicholls from any more punishment! Nicholls complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:18 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Mark Woleman!
A very excited looking Mark Woleman rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
Dean Nicholls spoke after the fight, saying 'I can do better than that, if he fights me again he won't win!'.
