PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jere Humphrey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adam Kadek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Jere Humphrey has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Jere Humphrey seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Adam Kadek!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Sosuke Kotani.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Humphrey gets control of Kadek's arms and successfully pulls guard. Humphrey will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Kadek goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Humphrey has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Kadek but great work by Humphrey.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Humphrey rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kadek moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Humphrey is trying to maintain the position but Kadek is very close to passing his half guard.

Kadek wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Humphrey, who protects the arm well.

The fight stays on the outside here - Kadek looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

and Kadek makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Humphrey really felt that one!

Humphrey's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Humphrey lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Kadek down.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Humphrey, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
