Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Minoru Suzuki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Antonio Inoki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Suzuki misses with a body shot.
Suzuki fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Inoki closes the distance and clinches up with Suzuki, looking for a takedown. Inoki pushes Suzuki against the cage but Suzuki circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Inoki shoots in but Suzuki avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Suzuki shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Inoki's guard.

Inoki has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Suzuki can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Suzuki drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Suzuki jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Inoki lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Suzuki!

Inoki jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Suzuki manages to avoid the submission attempt.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Minoru Suzuki has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Antonio Inoki.
Inoki looks for a takedown but Suzuki sprawls well.
Inoki shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Suzuki as he jumps to the side.
Suzuki seems to have got his legs back now.

Inoki is trying desperately to improve position.
Inoki bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Suzuki can't keep his opponent in guard - Inoki advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Suzuki tries to reverse the position but Inoki maintains control.

Inoki is working for a guillotine from mount but Suzuki frees his head quite easily.

Inoki is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Suzuki is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Suzuki flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Inoki anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Suzuki and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Inoki slips an arm under Suzuki chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Inoki has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Inoki is squeezing on Suzuki like an anaconda would it's prey. Suzuki fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
