2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Pesho Mahlenski! The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Micheangelo Fripello and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mahlenski shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Woodward napping and manages to drive through into side control! Woodward tries to buck Mahlenski off but Mahlenski is having none of it. Mahlenski looks up at the clock and then as Woodward takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Mahlenski smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Mahlenski wants to control for a moment but Woodward uses the opportunity to move back to half guard. Mahlenski trying to control the action but Woodward is working from the bottom. Woodward won't allow Mahlenski to pass to mount. Mahlenski is looking to take a break and control but Woodward is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mahlenski is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Mahlenski looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Woodward is rocked! Mahlenski looking to control and managing it successfully. Oh Woodward is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Mahlenski has isolated one of Woodward's arms. Woodward looking to fight him off but Mahlenski twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
