The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Abreu jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Bubby throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Abreu darts in looking for a takedown but Bubby gets double underhooks and turns Abreu into the cage.
Abreu tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Bubby just stands there and leans against the cage.
Abreu misses with a punch to the body.

Abreu pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Abreu is looking to chop away at Bubby's legs.
Bubby keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Bubby has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Abreu feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Bubbys jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Abreu cracks Bubby with a right hand to the side of the head.

Bubby tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Abreu jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Bubby walks away with a smile on his face. Abreu gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Boy Bubby has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cooper Abreu.
Bubby takes one on the chin but seems OK.

and Bubby counters by moving into the clinch.
Bubby swings away with an uppercut that misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
