Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between The Beast (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Viktor Gragula (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, The Beast! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Viktor Gragula! The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, John Kavanagh and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Beast closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Beast lands in his opponent's guard. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Beast trying to control but Gragula is working from the bottom. Beast avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Beast looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Gragula with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Beast trying to control the pace. Beast scoring with strikes to the body and head. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Beast has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Gragula has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Beast is working away from the top position though. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Gragula looks like he's trying to stand up.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Gragula is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Beast pulls his head out easily. Beast content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. We've been hearing good reports from Beast's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Beast's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Gragula looking for submissions off his back. Gragula tries to kick Beast off but Beast keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
