Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Sanford Walsh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lando Griffin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sanford Walsh!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Lando Griffin!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Chad Campbell and Columbo Gatti.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Griffin shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Walsh eats them both and turns towards Griffin to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Walsh avoids a punch combination nicely.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Walsh.
Walsh throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Griffin's waist but Griffin gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Walsh off to one side.
Griffin lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Walsh circles away quickly and effectively.

Griffin drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Griffin looks winded!
Walsh looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Walsh looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Walsh looking to hit a scissor sweep but Griffin is one step ahead there.
Walsh wants to get back to his feet but Griffin is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Griffin looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Griffin got a little sloppy there for a moment and Walsh has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Griffin has managed to get both his arms back between Walsh's legs - danger averted.

Griffin wants to pass the guard but Walsh is keeping the position.
Walsh trying to keep a closed guard but Griffin is proving a slippery customer.

Griffin decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Griffin swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Griffin looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Walsh tries a head kick but it misses.

Griffin is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Walsh's half guard.
Walsh wants to control but Griffin is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Walsh knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Griffin on the ground.

Walsh is looking to improve his position.

Griffin is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Walsh sees it coming and defends easily.
Griffin thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Walsh's head.
Walsh throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Griffin stops Walsh from getting back to his feet.

Walsh is looking for a sweep. Griffin is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Griffin prevents Walsh from standing back up.

Walsh tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Griffin manages to move to mount!

Walsh is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
Walsh is trying to reverse the position but instead Griffin has taken his back - oops!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Griffin really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Walsh.

Griffin has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Walsh is trying to stand back up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lando Griffin dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Walsh tries to sprawl but Griffin drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Walsh tries to get to full guard but Griffin has control of the leg.

Walsh is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Griffin pulls his head out easily.

Walsh wants to control but Griffin is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Lando Griffin has got the better of the ground game so far.

Walsh won't allow Griffin to pass to mount.

Griffin postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Walsh to stand up.
Lando Griffin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Griffin keeps the fight on the outside.

Griffin throws a front kick aimed at Walsh's knee but Walsh avoids it well.

Griffin lands a really nice looking cross but Walsh seems unphased.

Griffin lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Walsh circles away quickly and effectively.
Griffin stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Griffin wants it to stay on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sanford Walsh. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Griffin will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A close second round but Lando Griffin will probably get the nod - 10:9.

Walsh breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Griffin connects with a good right hand that stumbles Walsh. Walsh circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Griffin throws a right hand that Walsh ducks under and follows up with a left that Walsh also avoids with ease.
Griffin throws a solid leg kick but Walsh takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Griffin.

Walsh throws a head kick that Griffin semi-blocks.
Griffin misses with a low kick as Walsh jumps back.

Griffin shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Walsh napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Griffin stands up and beckons Walsh to his feet.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Walsh.

Griffin sneaks out the side door and pushes Walsh away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
Griffin fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Walsh is out of range.
Griffin misses with a double jab
and Walsh counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Griffin circles away from the clinch attempt.
Griffin stalks Walsh and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Walsh's face. Walsh staggers backwards, shaken.
Horrible takedown attempt by Walsh or perhaps it was just good defense by Griffin, which made it look bad.
Griffin lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Griffin.

Griffin throws a leg kick that is checked
and Walsh counters with a head kick. That will keep Griffin thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Walsh wants to clinch up but Griffin keeps it at a distance.
Walsh is looking to clinch but Griffin is avoiding it.
Griffin scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
No joy there for Griffin, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Walsh tries for a takedown but Griffin sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Griffin rushes Walsh and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Lando Griffin comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Griffin winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
