The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mcknight misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Martins takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Mcknight fails with the takedown
and Martins counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Mcknight is looking to stand up but Martins isn't so interested in that idea.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Mcknight is on top in guard.
Mcknight wants to stand but Martins has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Martins is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Mcknight trying to control the position from guard on top but Martins is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Mcknight wants to pass the guard but Martins is keeping the position.
Mcknight wants to control from the top but Martins keeps moving.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Mcknight got a little sloppy there for a moment and Martins has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Mcknight has managed to get both his arms back between Martins's legs - danger averted.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mcknight is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Martins has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Mcknight is looking to defend but Martins has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Mcknight! Martins pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Mcknight taps out and this one is all over!
