The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Rubio looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Hatzis shoots in for a double leg but Rubio sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Hatzis changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Rubio looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Hatzis has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Hatzis scoring with big shots to the body. Rubio is looking for a way out. A despairing look towards the ref and the official steps in to stop the fight. Rubio was obviously done but didn't want to tap out.
