Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Duke Dog! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Benjamin Wainwright! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Tiny Johnson and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wainwright goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Dog clinches up with Wainwright and pushes him back against the cage. Dog misses with some punches.
Wainwright tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Wainwright wants to break free but Dog has control.
Dog using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Wainwright has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Dog working aggressively here.
Wainwright tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Dog just stands there and leans against the cage. Wainwright should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Dog missing with knees to the body.

Wainwright jumps guard but Dog turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Dog tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Dog lands with a short head shot on the inside. Dog manages to break the clinch.
Wainwright wants to clinch. Wainwright throws a leg kick but Dog sees it coming and checks it nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dog shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Wainwright manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Dog sitting in guard here, content to control. Dog throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Dog postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Dog with a flurry of punches that miss. Dog looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Dog postures up and lands a big shot to Wainwright's brow.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wainwright working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Dog has passed into half guard!
Well, if Dog is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Dog thows a huge punch but Wainwright dodges it nicely.
Wainwright is trying to control but can't.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Dog content to control rather than advance. Wainwright told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Duke Dog wasn't doing enough on the ground. Wainwright leaves Dog with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Nice sprawl there from Dog as Wainwright shoots in. Duke Dog has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Benjamin Wainwright. Nice takedown defense from Dog. No joy for Wainwright on that attempt. Wainwright looks winded! Dog looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Wainwright is fending him off so far but Dog persists. Nope, Wainwright circles away and we're back to standing. Dog is looking to clinch. Dog wants to clinch up but Wainwright keeps it at a distance. Wainwright shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Dog defends it nicely.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dog moves into range and clinches up with Wainwright. Wainwright managing to block the knees to the body from Dog.
Wainwright tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Dog just stands there and leans against the cage. Dog manages to break the clinch.
Dog fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Wainwright, pushing him back against the cage. Wainwright wants to get back to striking at distance but Dog won't allow it.
Wainwright tries to pull guard but Dog forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Wainwright has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Dog pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Wainwright tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Dog manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Dog slaps away a takedown attempt from Wainwright, before circling back to the center of the mat. Dog scores with a takedown into Wainwright's guard. Dog looking to control the position here, rather than advance. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Duke Dog dominated that round. That's time! Dog's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Dog rushes Wainwright and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Dog presses Wainwright against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Dog connects with a big uppercut there that sends Wainwright tumbling to the ground! Dog follows him down into his guard.
It looks like Benjamin Wainwright has been cut. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Dog passes into half guard. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Dog sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Wainwright defending well though. Dog is figuring out what he wants to do next. Wainwright is breathing heavily. Dog postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Wainwright to stand up. Dog has taken the fight to the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dog pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Dog lands a head kick that stumbles Wainwright and the fighters go to the mat.
Wainwright is rocked! Duke Dog overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Dog controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Wainwright is still in real trouble! Can Dog finish him? Dog gets to his feet and stands over Wainwright, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Wainwright felt that one! Dog unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Wainwright from any more punishment!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:31 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Duke Dog!
