Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between David Ruaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Psycho Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ruaz tries to clinch but Smith moves out of range.
Smith rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Ruaz counters with a one-two to the body.
Smith just misses with a punch to the body.
Smith throws a body punch but Ruaz moves out of range.
Ruaz tries to clinch up.
Smith throws an off balance right hand
and Ruaz counters with a three punch combo that has Smith backing up. Smith nods at Ruaz to acknowledge the strikes.
Ruaz shoots in but Smith avoids the takedown attempt easily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Ruaz darts in and clinches Smith up against the cage.

Ruaz's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Smith misses with a left hand

and Ruaz counters with a crisp one two that drops Smith! Ruaz thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Smith to his feet! Smith is in big trouble!

Smith is rocked!
Ruaz throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Smith stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Smith is still on wobbly legs! Can Ruaz finish him?
Smith looks winded!
Ruaz looks for a takedown but Smith sprawls well.
Ruaz shoots in but Smith avoids the takedown attempt easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for David Ruaz. That's going to take a lot out of him.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Ruaz.
Smith rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Ruaz rattles Smith with a well-timed uppercut counter. - Smith tries to back away and recover but his hands are down low and he gets tagged again, sending him stumbling down to the canvas. Ruaz dives in after him and quickly finishes the job with a trio of brutal punches, leaving Smith stiff and motionless on the mat!
