Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Billy Bob (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shawn Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bob comes to the cage accompanied by Notkea rotta - Itä meidän. Jackson has chosen Hustlin as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
16 - 25 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Billy Bob! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
22 - 15 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Shawn Jackson! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Gwen Towbar and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jackson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Bob pinned against the cage. Bob gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Nice takedown defense from Bob. No joy for Jackson on that attempt. Jackson pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Bob lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Jackson darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bob has hold of Jackson's hands but Jackson slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Jackson is trying to control. Bob wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Jackson stops Bob from getting back to his feet.

Jackson is nestled in close to Bob, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Jackson wants to take a breather but Bob is having none of it. Jackson seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Bob is refusing to be controlled, as Jackson sits in half guard. Jackson is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Bob still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Bob has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work! Bob looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Jackson is avoiding damage well.

Bob is trying to ground and pound but Jackson uses the momentary lack of control by Bob to regain half guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Bob connects with a nice short shot to Jackson's temple. Jackson is looking to escape. Bob takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Jackson is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Bob's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Bob's back! Jackson lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Jackson tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. The ground and pound from Jackson seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Jackson looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Bob is avoiding damage well.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Bob explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there! Bob throws a hook but Jackson avoids it easily. Jackson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Bob circles away quickly and effectively. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Jackson misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Jackson looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Billy Bob has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shawn Jackson. Bob throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jackson's waist but Jackson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Bob off to one side. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bob shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Jackson defends it nicely. Jackson closes the distance and clinches up with Bob, looking for a takedown. Jackson pushes Bob against the cage but Bob circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Jackson looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Bob is fending him off so far but Jackson persists. Nope, Bob circles away and we're back to standing. Bob cracks Jackson with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Jackson keeping moving, preventing Bob from controlling successfully. Bob loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Bob has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Bob trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Jackson wants to stand and escape but Bob is having none of it. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
