Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davies misses the jab.
Givi tries to clinch up.
Davies throws a body shot but no joy.

and Davies counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Givi misses with a takedown attempt
and Davies counters with a lovely straight right hand!

It looks like Ara Givi has been cut.
Davies connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Givi's hands.
Givi uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Davies.
Davies uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Givi.
Givi tries for a takedown but Davies circles away easily
and Davies counters with a huge left! Givi is in big trouble! He's backing up but Davies isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Givi from any more damage. A dominating finish by Davies!
