Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Georgio Socrates (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kogata Munoz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Socrates comes into the arena with Tool - Schism blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Phil Schofield and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Munoz darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Socrates wants to clinch.
Socrates goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Munoz shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Socrates sprawls well. Socrates wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Munoz gets slowly back to his feet.
Munoz misses with a takedown attempt - Socrates sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Socrates has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Socrates tries to close the distance and clinch but Munoz swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Munoz drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Socrates gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Socrates struggles to land a body shot inside as Munoz controls his hands.

Munoz is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Socrates to keep the fight standing.
Socrates lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

Socrates has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Munoz uses from the top position.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Munoz tries to pass to full mount but Socrates defends it.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Munoz connects with a nice short shot to Socrates's temple.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Socrates wants to get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Georgio Socrates will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Munoz fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Socrates avoids it really well and circles away.

Munoz is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Socrates is just riding it out for now. Munoz eventually gives up the hold.
