Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Black Belt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Barbaro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Barbaro has chosen Fight - Future World Music as his entrance music. Joe Barbaro has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Black Belt's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
16 - 13 - 0, fighting out of London, Black Belt! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
17 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Joe Barbaro! The judges for this bout are James Glass, Colin Fotheringham and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Barbaro moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Barbaro misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Horrible takedown attempt by Belt or perhaps it was just good defense by Barbaro, which made it look bad. Belt tries to score a power double leg takedown but Barbaro sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Belt somewhat. Belt has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Joe Barbaro seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Barbaro moves into the clinch. Belt is looking for a takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Black Belt. That's going to take a lot out of him. Barbaro lands a right hand. Belt fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Barbaro breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Barbaro misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Barbaro uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Belt dives in and grabs Barbaro's left leg, looking for a takedown. Barbaro pushes down on Belt's head and hops out. Barbaro looks to land a combination but Belt avoids it well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Barbaro falls off balance throwing a combination
letting Belt counter with a right hand. Belt with a poor takedown and Barbaro counters with a left and a right that stings Belt. No joy there for Barbaro, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Barbaro misses with a few strikes there.
Barbaro looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Belt dodges the punch combination from Barbaro.
Barbaro misses with a wild combination.
Belt with a poor takedown and Barbaro counters with a flying knee. Nice. Belt shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Barbaro manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Belt is looking to work some ground and pound but Barbaro has wrist control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Barbaro looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Barbaro avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Belt pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Barbaro is keeping the position for now. Belt throws a strike but Barbaro rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Barbaro being controlled here momentarily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Barbaro trying to control the position from guard on top but Belt is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Barbaro told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet. Belt throwing rabbit punches from the bottom - showing the judges that he's keeping busy. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Belt is trying to control the position but Barbaro postures up. Belt throws a nice elbow from the bottom. Belt is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Barbaro trying to control but Belt is working from the bottom. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Belt is on top in guard.
Belt missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Belt preventing the sweep.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Barbaro working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Belt. Belt is looking to pass into half guard but Barbaro pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Barbaro is in guard. Barbaro sitting in guard, not really doing much. Barbaro tries to stand but Belt is controlling from the bottom. Belt keeping moving, preventing Barbaro from controlling successfully. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Barbaro is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Belt has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Barbaro is looking to defend but Belt has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Barbaro! Belt pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Barbaro taps out and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Black Belt! Black Belt really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Bloodlust Horde Fightwear logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
