The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Illya Tyunina and Konstantin Menshow.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mercer looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Riddle is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mercer is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Mercer looking to pass the guard.
Mercer in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Riddle wants to stand but Mercer is controlling the position.
Riddle is trying to control the position but Mercer postures up.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Mercer shoots in and gets a takedown into Riddle's guard.
Mercer seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Riddle looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Mercer is defending well. Riddle quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Mercer has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Riddle celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
