Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tarik Gibson! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bob Fynn! The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Chris Dean and Francis DeMontford.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gibson throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Fynn drives through and clinches with Gibson against the cage.

Gibson misses with a hook to the ribs.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Gibson.
It looks like Bob Fynn has been cut. Gibson leaning against his opponent.
Fynn tries to circle away but Gibson has him pinned against the cage. Gibson landing knees to the body.
Fynn wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Gibson is working Fynn over against the cage. Fynn escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gibson slips under a jab. Gibson connects with a leg kick. Fynn looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Fynn takes a swing at Gibson's ribcage but misses. Gibson pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Fynn scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Gibson missing with a left hand there. Fynn was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. We've been told by Gibson's head coaches at Guinness Stout that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gibson dodges the punch combination from Fynn.
Gibson moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Nice defenses there by Gibson. Fynn misses with a body punch
and Gibson counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Gibson ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. A swing and a miss from Gibson. Fynn moves out of range of the body kick. A head kick misses from Gibson. Fynn scores with a jab to the head.
A leg kick checked by Fynn. Gibson feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Fynns jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Gibson takes one to the side of the head.
Fynn takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. Tarik Gibson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Fynn takes a body punch but keeps moving. Fynn has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Fynn takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Fynn is rocked!
That's two minutes gone in the round. A cross from Gibson lands. Fynn is still on wobbly legs! Can Gibson finish him? Fynn throws a right hand that misses
and Gibson counters with a head kick from the bowels of hell that crumples Fynn! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:10 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Tarik Gibson! Tarik Gibson retains his middleweight title!
