The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anderson wants to clinch.
Santos decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Anderson tries to kick Santos off but Santos keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Anderson looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Santos trying to control the action but Anderson is working from the bottom.
Anderson is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Santos pulls his head out easily.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Santos is taking a breather. Anderson says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Santos postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Anderson to stand up.
Santos shoots in but no luck this time.
Santos fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Anderson sprawls well initially but Santos persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Santos wants to take a breather but Anderson is having none of it.
Anderson with the active half guard here but Santos passes nicely into side control.

I would not like to be Anderson right now.
Santos is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Anderson with him. Anderson is trying to defend but Santos has an arm under the chin now! Anderson grimaces and is forced to tap out!
