Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ken Stewart!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Quaa Ludes!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Reed Andrews and Joseph Jones.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ludes looking to land some kicks to the body here.

Ludes moves into the clinch.

Ludes breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Ludes connects with a looping right hand.

Stewart tries to keep at a distance but Ludes has taken the fight into the clinch.
Ludes is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Stewart pressing his opponent against the cage.
Stewart tries to score a body lock takedown but Ludes shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Ludes misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Stewart.

Ludes's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Ludes pushes Stewart off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Ludes rushes Stewart and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Stewart has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Ludes avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Ludes wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Stewart has him pressed against the cage.

A low kick from Ludes misses
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Stewart tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Ludes manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

and Ludes counters with a left and a right that stings Stewart.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ken Stewart. That's going to take a lot out of him.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
No joy there for Ludes, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Ludes is breathing heavily.
Stewart scores with a nice shot to the head of his opponent. Ludes is looking for a way out.
Ludes rolls, trying to escape but Stewart keeps control of the position.

Stewart is striking from the back but Ludes escapes and manages to recover to half guard.
Ludes is looking to control Stewart's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Ludes avoid being mounted?

Stewart misses with a head shot. Ludes uses the momentum to regain guard.
Stewart postures up in Ludes's guard and throws a big left but Ludes blocks it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Stewart throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Ludes works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Stewart throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Ludes is pulling down on Stewart's head. It's preventing any offense from Stewart, at least for the moment.
Stewart is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Ludes bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Stewart's guard.

Nice takedown defense from Ludes. No joy for Stewart on that attempt.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Well Ludes has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
