Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Robert Owinashi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tytus Romanski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Robert Owinashi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tytus Romanski!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Steve Montenegro and Reed Andrews.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Owinashi rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Romanski moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Owinashi throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Romanski.
Owinashi has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

and Owinashi counters with a three punch combo that has Romanski backing up. Romanski nods at Owinashi to acknowledge the strikes.
Romanski dives in for a single leg takedown but Owinashi sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Romanski throws a series of punches but Owinashi avoids them all with ease.

and Romanski decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Owinashi's guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Romanski accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Romanski is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Romanski is pulling down on Owinashi's head. It's preventing any offense from Owinashi, at least for the moment.

Romanski escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Owinashi gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Romanski holds on and takes a little breather.

Romanski throws his legs up looking for a submission but Owinashi uses it to pass to side control.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Owinashi throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Romanski goes for a double leg but Owinashi avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Owinashi continues to drive forward.

Romanski has hold of one of Owinashi's legs. Owinashi is fighting the takedown attempt but Romanski gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Owinashi would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Romanski seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Let's hope that Romanski has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Owinashi has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Tytus Romanski showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Romanski felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Romanski is just content to waste time from the top position. Owinashi takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Romanski is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Robert Owinashi.
I think Romanski has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
