Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Shigeki Fujiwara and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Martinez closes the distance and clinches.
Lancaster drops down looking for an ankle pick but Martinez pulls his leg out and moves away.
Martinez throws a head kick but Lancaster moves out of range.
A punch combination from Martinez misses.
Lancaster throws a leg kick that is checked
and Martinez counters with a left and a right that stings Lancaster.
Martinez drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Lancaster is looking for a sweep.
Lancaster is not content to let Martinez control the position.
Martinez takes a little break here. Lancaster wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Martinez misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Martinez has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Lancaster misses with an elbow from the bottom.
Martinez is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Lancaster has escaped the position, nice work there.
Martinez decides to stand back up.
Lancaster throws out a leg kick but Martinez moves out of range and Lancaster only half commits.
Martinez throws a lazy head kick
and Lancaster counters with a nice low kick that buckles Martinez's knee momentarily.
Martinez changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Lancaster looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Martinez in side control lands a decent elbow.
Martinez works to advance to full mount. Lancaster defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Martinez is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Lancaster really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
This has been an exciting period of action!

After winning the bout, Hugo Martinez thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
